Mary Westbrooks has been honored as the Team Member of the Month for January 2024. Since 2020, Mary has consistently gone above and beyond in providing exceptional care to the clients she serves.
One client, Mr. Tyska, couldn’t help but express his gratitude for Mary’s unwavering dedication. “Mary is the consummate medical professional whose concern is not only for the physical but also the mental well-being of her client,” Mr. Tyska remarked, reflecting on the comprehensive approach Mary takes in her caregiving role.
What sets Mary apart is her ability to intuitively understand and address the needs of her clients without the need for detailed direction. “She does not need detailed direction and takes the initiative of doing what she believes needs to be done,” Mr. Tyska emphasized. “After two years, I don’t recall her overstepping her bounds.”
Mary’s commitment to her clients is truly remarkable, with Mr. Tyska noting, “Without reservation, her primary focus, when she is on duty, is her client.” This dedication extends beyond the individual care she provides, as Mary actively engages with other caregivers, fostering a sense of mutual respect among her peers.
“Mary goes out of her way to help and coach new caregivers,” Mr. Tyska continued, underlining her commitment to not only excel in her role but also to uplift and support her colleagues. This collaborative spirit has undoubtedly contributed to the positive atmosphere within the Cypress at Home team.
Reflecting on the two years of Mary’s service, Mr. Tyska expressed the positive rapport between the caregiver and the family. “In addition to the positive rapport that my wife and I have with Mary,” he shared, “She has established a sound relationship with our family members.” Mary’s ability to build strong connections not only with her clients but also with their families highlights the depth of her impact on those she serves.
