Employee Spotlight: Nadyne Bernard, Hospitality Care Assistant

Nadyne has been with the Cypress family of companies since 2017, and currently works as a hospitality care assistant, also known as a household assistant, for Cypress at Home. She appreciates the opportunities and mission-driven collaboration amongst the team members.

“I am excited to work at this company because it provided an opportunity for me to gain experience and sharpen my skills,” Nadyne said. “Caring for our residents takes a collaborative effort and that’s exactly what the employees of Cypress Cove provide each day.”

In her role, Nadyne plans and coordinates resident care utilizing a person-centered care approach to create a home-like environment for residents to increase their engagement and satisfaction with their daily lives. She promotes choices with the resident in all activities of daily living (ADLs), acting as an advocate for all residents in her care. Nadyne works efficiently with frequent interruptions and is able to distinguish priorities in resident care and follow through with them.

Nadyne is grateful for the Cypress Cove scholarships she was able to receive for her oldest son. “They helped my family tremendously by sharing the burden of high tuition rates.”
